What is Penile Prosthesis?

Penile prosthesis (happiness stick) are implants in silicone structure that are surgically placed into the penis to provide erection in men who cannot provide the necessary hardening (erection) for sexual intercourse.

It has two types: Bendable (One Piece) and Inflatable (Two and Three Pieces). In bendable types, the patient straightens the penis during intercourse and hides it by bending at the end. In inflatable prostheses, the patient inflates the penis with a small pump placed next to the ovaries before intercourse, and deflates it at the end of the intercourse.

Who Is It Applied?

It is the 3rd step treatment method applied in cases where there is no sufficient response to the erection problem from other treatments or when the expectations of the patients cannot be met with other methods.

Is it obvious from the outside?

The prosthesis is placed inside the tissues (cavernous structures) that provide hardening of the penis and is not visible from the outside.

Are Semen Flow (Ejaculation), Intercourse Pleasure and Orgasm Affected?

Semen flow is not affected in patients with a happiness stick and they can have a child naturally. Since the pleasure and ejaculation function are not affected, orgasm continues in the same way after the procedure.

Is There a Certain Lifetime?

They are devices used for life. However, in case of infection or mechanical failure, it may need to be removed or replaced.

      Merhaba, penis protezi ameliyatı sonrası yara yerinin tamamen iyileşmesi ve penisin protezle tamamen bütünleşmesi süreci 6 ayı bulmaktadır. Ancak 5-6 haftalık sürecin sonunda kişinin protezi kullanıp, ilişkiye girebilecek düzeyde iyileşme meydana gelmektedir.
